About the Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns were established on June 4, 1944 and they played their first season in 1946. The Browns are based in Cleveland, Ohio and they compete in the NFL as a member team of the AFC North Division.
The Browns’ official team colors are brown, orange, and white. They are the only team in the NFL that do not have a logo on their helmets. The team was named after Paul Brown, who was the co-founder and first head coach of the Cleveland Browns. The team played in the All-America Football Conference and has compiled a record of 47-4-3. The Browns joined the NFL when the AAFC folded after the 1949 season. They have won a championship in their first season in the NFL, they have also won championships in 1954, 1955, and 1964 seasons. From 1965 – 1995, the Browns made it to the playoffs 14 times, however they did not win another championship nor appear in the Super Bowl during that period.
The Browns play their home games at FirstEnergy Stadium located in Cleveland, Ohio.
