  • The United States Marine Corps serves both on land and at sea. The original U.S. Marines distinguished themselves in a number of important operations during the Revolutionary War. The first Marine landing on a hostile shore occurred when a force of Marines under Captain Samuel Nicholas captured New Province Island in the Bahamas from the British in March 1776. Nicholas was the first commissioned officer in the Continental Marines and is celebrated as the first Marine commandant. After American independence was achieved in 1783, the Continental Navy was demobilized and its Marines disbanded.

But even so, the Marines' first battle and success paved the way for greater operations to come.

Since 1834, the USMC has been a component of the U.S Navy. The USMC operates posts on land and aboard sea-going amphibious warfare ships around the world. Additionally, several of the Marines' tactical aviation squadrons, primarily Marine Fighter Attack squadrons, are also embedded in Navy carrier air wings and operate from the Navy's nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.

Ever since its formation more than 300 years ago, the USMC has protected the United States of America and its people. In all of the wars that America has participated and fought in, the USMC were an integral part in the victorious results that came after. Without the brave men and women of the U.S. Marine Corps and the other military branches of the U.S. Government, the United States of America would not be the country that it is today. And because of this, we owe so much to them: Our life, our freedom, and all of the privileges that we are enjoying right now.

There are so many ways to show how much we appreciate and support what the USMC has done for us. Saying thank you to them whenever we meet them is one of the simplest yet very touching way to show that the efforts and sacrifices that they have done for our country and for us will always be treasured and remembered. Another way is by strapping ourselves with the Handmade By Heroes Engraved Stainless Steel USMC Veteran Paracord Bracelet.

The Engraved Stainless Steel USMC Veteran Paracord Bracelet is not just your ordinary bracelet. Every Engraved Stainless Steel USMC Veteran Paracord Bracelet is one of a kind, uniquely designed and assembled by U.S Veterans themselves. All of the materials used in making the Engraved Stainless Steel USMC Veteran Paracord Bracelet are also of superb quality. And when you own a Engraved Stainless Steel USMC Veteran Paracord Bracelet, it will remind everyone that notices it that we should always thank and respect not only our brothers and sisters at the USMC but all of the men and women who in one time or another, sacrificed even their lives in order to make us and our country safe.

Today, there are more than 200,000 active-duty and reserve Marines, divided into three divisions stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Camp Pendleton, California; and Okinawa, Japan. Each division has one or more expeditionary units, ready to launch major operations anywhere in the world on two weeks’ notice. Marines expeditionary units are self-sufficient, with their own tanks, artillery, and air forces. The motto of the service is Semper Fidelis, meaning “Always Faithful” in Latin.
