The Denver Broncos were established 58 years ago and they compete in the NFL as a member club of the league’s AFC West division. Their first season was in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League, they have joined the NFL as part of the merger in 1970. The Broncos have played their home games at Mile High Stadium from 1960 to 2000. They started playing their home games at Sports Authority Field at Mile High since 2001. The team is owned by the Pat Bowlen trust.
During their 10-year run in the AFL and first seven years in the NFL, the Broncos were barely competitive. They did not complete a winning season until 1973 however, four years later they advanced to the playoffs for the first time and making it through to Super Bowl XII.
The Broncos are now one of the more successful teams in the NFL. They have won eight AFC Championships (1977, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1997, 1998, 2013, and 2015). They have won three Super Bowl Championships (XXXII, XXXIII, and 50). They have shared the record for the second most Super Bowl appearances with the Steelers and the Cowboys.
John Elway, Floyd Little, Gary Zimmerman, Shannon Sharpe, and Terrell Davis are all Broncos player who are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Logo History
1960 – 1961
The team’s first logo features a football player in white and mustard yellow riding a yellow bucking horse.
1962 – 1969
The team’s new logo features a football player in an orange uniform holding a football and is riding a bucking horse. The team also changed their team colors from white and mustard yellow to orange, royal blue, and white.
1970 – 1992
The Broncos introduced their new logo which features a white horse exhaling steam and is coming out of a large orange letter “D”. This new logo was designed by Edwin Taylor, a fan of the Broncos.
1993 – 1996
The only changes the Broncos made in their new logo are, the horse has different black outline and facial features.
1997 – Present
The Broncos have completely changed the design of their logo in 1997. The new logo is simple but fierce and features a white stallion with an orange mane.
