  • The Iraq War was an armed conflict that began in 2003 with the invasion of Iraq by a United States-led coalition that toppled the government of Saddam Hussein. The invasion occurred in the context of a declared war against international terrorism and its sponsors under the administration of US President George W. Bush following the September 11 terror attacks. The conflict continued for much of the next decade as an insurgency emerged to oppose the occupying forces and the post-invasion Iraqi government. It was estimated that more than 600,000 Iraqis were killed in the first 3–4 years of conflict.

In the more than ten years that United States went to war in Iraq, more than 4,500 American soldiers were killed in the line of duty. And for those men and women who served in that war and survived, the impact of what they saw and experienced will forever be etched in their minds and in their spirits.

The question now is, as a citizen of this great nation, how can we show these Iraq war veteran men and women that all of their sacrifices and services are greatly appreciated? And that from the bottom of our hearts, we thank and salute them?

There are countless ways to do this. One great example is by supporting worthy organizations that helps veterans. Patronizing veteran themed products like the Handmade By Heroes Iraq War Veteran Paracord Bracelet is also another way.

The Handmade By Heroes Iraq War Veteran Paracord Bracelet is not just your ordinary bracelet. Every Iraq War Veteran Paracord Bracelet are designed and assembled by U.S. veterans themselves. The Iraq War Veteran Paracord Bracelet is not only a sight to behold, but most importantly, all of the materials used in making the Iraq War Veteran Paracord Bracelet are also of the best quality. For those of us looking for some tangible ways to express our own gratitude for the sacrifices of our nation’s veterans – and those currently serving in active duty – here are just a few suggestions.

    • Volunteerat a veterans center, VA hospital, nursing home or medical center.
    • Organize a service projectfor your youth group, scout troop, or athletic team to visit a veterans facility. It’s a way to help veterans bridge some of the lonely hours away from family and an opportunity for young people to talk with these brave men and women.
    • Invite a veteran to speak to your group any time during the year; it doesn’t have to be Veterans Day
    • Give a vet a lift. Help make sure one of our nation’s heroes can make it to medical appointments by offering to drive.
    • Talk to a veteran. Go to a VFW Hall and listen to what these true heroes have to say. You can make a special bond with these veterans by simply starting up a conversation.
    • Say Thank You to every veteran that you meet. It may not be a great deal to you but to a veteran, it may mean the world to them.
