Appreciating Our Heroes on Veterans’ Day

Today, we celebrate Veterans Day. But for the most of us, Veterans Day is just an ordinary day that comes and goes without having the opportunity to say thank you to the veterans who laid their lives for us to achieve the freedom that we are experiencing now.  So let us all take a moment to honor these brave men and women who have served and protected us at home and abroad so that we can go home safely each day and sleep comfortably in our beds each night.

So, to our brothers and sisters who have served and protected this country with honor in the name of freedom, WE SALUTE YOU!  And to their families who voluntarily and willingly gave their sons and daughters so that our sovereignty is preserved, THANK YOU!

Saying THANK YOU to our veterans for the sacrifices that they made may be a very simple gesture, but saying it to them face-to-face when you can, thanking them for their courage and bravery while looking sincerely in their eyes can be the greatest gift that we can give to our veteran heroes as we celebrate Veterans Day.

There are many ways to honor and show our heartfelt gratitude to our veteran brothers and sisters especially during this time of the year. One way is by displaying the American Flag in our homes as a sign of our support to veterans living all over the country. Visiting our heroes and talking or just listening to them and to their experiences is another way to do it. There are also many support groups that concentrate on the needs of our veteran brothers and sisters. Giving donations in cash or in kind to these organizations will also go a long way in helping some of our veterans’ needs. We can also celebrate Veterans Day and at the same time spread awareness about our brothers and sisters, retired or even those still in service, by thanking and acknowledging them in our social media accounts. These small acts of kindness are just some of the ways to show our heartfelt gratitude towards our veteran brothers and sisters who have served to protect us even at the price of losing their limbs and part of their soul just to keep us and our country safe.

As we celebrate this special day, let us pause for a moment to appreciate all the sacrifices and heroism that our veteran brothers and sisters have done. For without them, we will not be having the life that we are living now, a life of freedom and a life of peace.

So, to all our American Heroes who put their lives first for the safety of their country and are willing to die just to make America safe, from the bottom of our hearts, we SALUTE and THANK YOU for the service that you have made to the United States of America and to the American people.
