Why I joined the Military: I didn’t do well my first year of college, so I decided I wanted something different. I joined because I wanted to defend my country and be a part of a great team. I also needed a sense of direction and purpose. The Army gave me the opportunity to learn about my own abilities to overcome.
Why I joined Handmade By Heroes: I saw the products online and read about the veterans that started Handmade By Heroes. There are many things I miss about the military and being a part of this organization, which provides a service and a tremendous product to veterans and others, brings so much of that back. Commonality, teamwork, patriotism, honor, loyalty. This is a special group with a wonderful passion for quality and craftsmanship.

My favorite sports team and why…My favorite sports team and why…In 1967 when I was 5 years old, I received “The Bronco Spotter” newspaper publication as a gift from my parents. I grew up playing football in Denver and was naturally a Broncos fan.
I went to training camp (then Golden, CO) as a young kid and saw players like Floyd Little, Rich Jackson, Dave Costa and many others. I became a sports artist because I loved to draw football players. I was a football fan because of the Denver Broncos.
