    About the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were established in 1974 and they compete in the NFL as a member team for the National Football Conference South division. They joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team along with the Seahawks. The Buccaneers play their home games at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

During their first season, the Buccaneers played in the AFC West division. After the 1976 season, the Buccaneers switched conferences with the Seahawks and became a member of the NFC Central division. The Buccaneers joined three former NFC West teams to form the NFC South in 2002 as part of the league realignment.

During the 1979 season, the Buccaneers won a playoff game, they won a division title, and they host and play in a conference championship, making them the first post-merger expansion team to accomplish these. During the 2010 season, the Buccaneers became the first team to complete a winning season by playing 10 or more rookies as starters.

The Buccaneers won their first and lone Super Bowl trophy in Super Bowl XXXVII.
