Time Served: 6 Years, Army & USMCWhy I joined the Military: Joining the Military was a lot like joining a family business. My great grandfather, grand father, father and 3 of my brothers served our great nation in combat. The Marines and Army were truly a perfect fit for me.
Life changing event: Jan 18th 2009 is the day my life changed forever. My friend and mentor SSG Roberto Andrade was killed while on a combat patrol in Iraq. I never lost a friend or soldier in combat and truly felt like a failure as a soldier and friend. Roberto is a true hero and I think of him everyday.
Why I Joined Handmade By Heroes: Joining Handmade By Heroes was the perfect fit for me. Having issues in the corporate world with communication and my combat related injuries really didn't fit. It always seemed that I was speaking a foreign language.
Here at HBH my language or lingo is understood loud and clear. It's a blessing for me and my family that i'm apart of this great group of Veterans.
