Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA

Name/Alias: Douglas Morton

MOS: 91J

Rank: SGT

Branch of Service: Army

Time Served: 15-1/2 yrs

Why I joined the Military: I joined the Army because my stepdad asked me to try it out for the two years and if I didn’t like it, I at least tried it. I ended up loving it for the structure, discipline, training and the skills they provided for me.

Why I joined Handmade By Heroes: I joined Handmade By Heroes to continue to serve around fellow veterans and to contribute towards their team.

Message to customers…It was my honor to provide you with a bracelet and/or keychain of your liking…Army Strong

My favorite sports team and why… The Pittsburgh Steelers is my favorite team and I cheer for my hometown teams…Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.

Thank you, Douglas, for making a very special bracelet for our son, Eric Skasik. Eric’s MOS is 82nd Airborne, 1-504. He transitioned to Germany, was attached to 1st ID and was in Iraq in 2003-2004 in Kirkuk. He moved to 4th ID and was with ISAF in Afghanistan, FOB Lagman in 2009. He is now in Hawaii recruiting special forces from active duty military. When he got the bracelet on Christmas Day, he put it on and hasn’t taken if off since. This bracelet means a lot to him, especially since it was made by a fellow Army veteran. Thank you so much for your service and for being that brave 1% that keeps the rest of us safe. Wishing you a wonderful new year! Dave & Melissa.
